Hello & Welcome to my page.

My name is William Schmit. I have two children. Jacob will be heading back to college at the University of Minnesota in Morris this fall. He loves reading about anything especially Science-Fiction. We enjoy going to the library and Barnes & Noble. We also love to go to the lake to fish and swim. He is afraid when I drive the jet-ski. Gabrielle will be heading back to Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin. We enjoy driving the fourwheeler at the cabin and and going to garage sales. She is never afraid when I drive the jet-ski. My wife, Rochelle, loves to "hang out" at the lake. We also enjoy going to movies as a family. I have been teaching since 1994. (A long time ago.) I have taught 6th, 5th, 4th, 2nd, and 1st grades. This will be my ninth year at SKD. This school is amazing. I feel like I am part of a wonderful "family". I enjoy golfing and basketball. I coach both at CHS. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and fishing, but not at the same time. I can't wait to meet you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Every month your child's AR goal is due on the final day or the last day of the month.

Please check that your child has an AR book with them at all times at school. I try and have independent reading time almost every day.

Your child may bring a healthy snack to school every day.
